Community Commitment

Beyond Expectations

MCSA's pledge below builds on our collective long-standing traditions of stewardship in and around the PORTS and PAD site communities, and in Lexington, KY. We will build on our members’ past community involvement successes at these sites and will work with DOE to bring about new, sustainable initiatives for a better tomorrow. Over the life of the contract, MCSA commits to:

  • Includes Company-Sponsored Volunteerism
  • 10,000 hours from all employees
  • 6,000 hours from Key Personal

Our Guiding Principles for Community Outreach

To ensure the success and sustainability of our Community Commitment Plan, MCSA will establish a community advisory council within the first three months of the contract to assist in determining the most beneficial application of our community commitment funds. The council will be comprised of a select group of community leaders, local businesses, regional educators, and MCSA leaders.

  • Continually seek to understand the communities we serve and identify physical economic asset opportunities to contribute to the strength of our communities
  • Closely coordinate our outreach initiatives with community members, decision-makers, leaders, and persons of influence
  • Maintain partnerships with our stakeholders that are mutually ben
